Learning Cursive
July 14, 2017 @ 2:30 pm - 3:15 pm
An event every week that begins at 2:30 pm on Friday, repeating until August 4, 2017
Research suggests that printing letters and writing in cursive activate different parts of the brain. Learning cursive is good for children’s fine motor skills, and writing in longhand generally helps students retain more information and generate more ideas.
Kids Place Therapy Services is offering a beginner cursive class that uses the Handwriting Without Tears Method. This class will focus on learning many of the lower case cursive letters in a fun manner. Children interested in this class must have mastered formation of all manuscript letters.
Who: Kids 6+ years of age (must have completed kindergarten)
When: Fridays 2:30 – 3:15 p.m. for 4 weeks. Class begins July 14, 2017.
Where: Kids Place Therapy Services in Hoffman Estates (near intersection of Barrington and Higgins Road)
Cost: $50 (series of 4 classes) plus cost of Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) Book (family can purchase HWT “Cursive Handwriting” book or include additional $14 when submitting payment for class).
